Training for Impact and Excellence

QxP’s New Training & Education Community

About 10 years ago, before my 3 kids came into the world, I had won Rookie of the Year in the Frederick Women’s Rugby League. It was one of the most exciting sports I had ever played, and with the right form and technique, I could hold my own (and even dominate) against players twice my size. While I brought some athleticism from years of playing other sports, my success came down to discipline, coaching, repetition, and mindset, which are the same ingredients I see every day in successful biotech manufacturing teams. It's why I naturally draw parallels between sports and training in our industry. Whether on the field or in the cleanroom, performance depends on how well we train, how often we practice, and how clearly, we understand the “why” behind what we do.

At Quality Executive Partners, we’re thrilled to officially launch the Training & Education Community, with yours truly as the Community Lead. I’m excited to share our goals and how we’re shaping a future where CGMP excellence is taught, coached, reinforced, and lived.

Why This Community Matters

In September 2024, Wei Wang, a microbiologist and inspector with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), indicated  is a common observation, particularly for aseptic techniques, which can be compounded by a lack of quality oversight. In addition, the top citations of 2024 around inadequate procedures and failure to follow procedures are a direct symptom of ineffective training and education. These issues aren’t just random, individual mistakes. Instead, they often reflect a breakdown in how organizations transfer knowledge, reinforce behaviors, and build CGMP habits. In short, strong training builds strong compliance. This lack of purposeful, behavior-based learning is one of the reasons our Community exists: to shift that narrative.

Our Mission and Goals

Community Mission: To build a high-impact, people-focused learning culture that equips individuals not just to perform tasks, but to deeply understand the why behind every CGMP decision.

We believe training isn’t a one-time event. It isn’t a Read and Understand of an SOP. It’s a result of discipline, proper methodologies, and instilling pride in the workforce, who are directly impacting lives every day. It is refined over time with coaching, feedback, and shared accountability from QA, manufacturing, and leadership.

Community Goals:

  1. Author a Thought-Leading Industry Article
    1. We're working collaboratively to publish a data-driven, experience-backed article on key topics such as:
      1. Training in the Age of AI
      2. Human Performance & Aseptic Behavior
      3. Bridging the Biotech Skills Gap
      4. OJT and Data Integrity Reinforcement
  2. Host a Live LinkedIn Panel on a "Hot Topic"
    1. Through real-time Q&A, polls, and shared takeaways, our panel will spark discussion across the global community. We want to spark conversation around practical insights leaders can apply tomorrow.
  3. Define a Framework for Aseptic Technique & Behavior Training
    1. Our Community plans to assess a model for training supervisors and frontline leaders to recognize and coach the micro-behaviors that make or break cleanroom performance. We'll use Annex 1 principles, real FDA 483s, and case studies to bring the concepts to life.

QxP’s Training and Education Community wants to capitalize on our unique approach to consulting and create a movement to transform training from a check-the-box exercise into a culture-defining force. Through bold thought leadership, collaboration, and a coaching mindset, we’re setting the stage for long term excellence so our industry can continue to save lives.

We want to hear from you.

As we launch this Community, we’re inviting your input to help shape what comes next.  Follow us on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/company/qualityexecutivepartners to be part of the conversation.  Your input will guide future articles, events, and conversations.
